About the work
Re-Encounters draws on the film’s sonic and scientific imagery to create a concert work in which communication, discovery and encounter find instrumental expression.
Commissioned by Fundación DISA for the opening of the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria’s Ínsula science outreach festival, it was premiered by soloists from the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria.
